Vigna Aconitifolia seeds are part of the legume family and grow into what we know as the moth or mat bean. It is a natural alternative to retinol in herbal medicine. This ingredient is a 100% natural alternative to the vitamin A derivative retinol. Studies prove mat bean is a comparable replacement to synthetic retinol, without the unpleasant side effects of irritation, sun sensitivity, and dryness. Unlike Bakuchiol (another natural alternative to retinol), mat bean has been clinically researched and tested.
